White House: Cuba Needs Changes, Not Overthrow

The White House has called on Cuba to make significant changes, without calling for the overthrow of the government. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated that the regime in Cuba is in decline and the country is collapsing.

"It is a regime in decline. Their country is collapsing, and that is why we believe it is in their interest to make very significant changes, very soon," Leavitt said during a press briefing.

Leavitt added that the US wants to see thriving and prosperous democracies worldwide, especially in the Western Hemisphere, but declined to comment on possible actions to achieve this goal.
