Trump Administration Seeks Approval for Arms Sale to Israel

The Trump administration is seeking congressional approval for the sale of $6.4 billion worth of military equipment and weapons to Israel. The package includes attack helicopters and armored personnel carriers.
Reportedly, the deal includes $3.8 billion for 30 "Apache" attack helicopters and approximately $2 billion for over 3,000 tanks.
The Israeli army announced that it has expanded its operations in Gaza, bombing Hamas infrastructure. Displaced Palestinians say they have no means of escape.
The news comes days before the UN General Assembly, where the Security Council is expected to hold a high-level meeting on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
