The Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, confirmed that joint exercises will take place between Cyprus, Greece, and Israel. The exercises are part of the GEEF's planning for 2026.

According to Mr. Palmas, the exercises will include joint training of the three militaries, staff training, and joint military exercises. The goal is to improve the capabilities of the armies.

Mr. Palmas also mentioned that similar exercises will be held with Egypt, Jordan, and other friendly countries. He recalled the recent joint naval exercise between Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt that took place at the end of November.

The agreement for the exercises has been signed by military officials from the three countries. The date of the exercises will be determined by the military staffs, depending on needs and conditions.
