Kremlin Denies Rift Between Putin and Lavrov, Calls for Respect of Lukoil's Interests

The Kremlin has denied speculations of a rift in relations between President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Lavrov continues to perform his duties.

Furthermore, the Kremlin emphasized that the international interests of the Russian oil giant Lukoil must be respected, following Gunvor's withdrawal from acquiring Lukoil's foreign assets. Peskov described Gunvor's move as a commercial issue related to US sanctions.

Regarding the ballistic missile launch by North Korea, the Kremlin stated that it respects the country's 'legitimate right' to ensure its security.
