US War Cost: At Least $12 Billion, Says Trump Advisor

The cost of the war for the US has reached at least $12 billion, according to Donald Trump's economic advisor, Kevin Hassett. Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, stated that there is no immediate need for additional funding from Congress.
Hassett told CBS News that the US already possesses the necessary weapons systems and resources for operations. The conflict, which began on February 28 by American and Israeli forces, is in its third week.
While it is not entirely clear to which time period the $12 billion figure corresponds, Hassett clarified that it represents the money 'spent so far.' Previous estimates indicated the cost was around $11 billion, while there were scenarios for a potential supplementary funding package of $50 billion.
