Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Near Moscow, Attacks in Crimea

Russian air defenses shot down dozens of Ukrainian drones heading towards Moscow. For security reasons, two of the Russian capital's four airports were closed.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, air defenses shot down 28 enemy drones within 5 hours. The Russian civil aviation authority suspended operations at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports.

There are no reports of damage. Ukraine has not made an official statement, but has stated that its attacks aim to destroy infrastructure vital to Russian military operations.

Earlier, one person was killed and 13 injured by a Russian drone near the city of Sumy, Ukraine. The Ukrainian intelligence service announced that its forces launched a drone attack on Russian-occupied Crimea, destroying 3 radar installations and 1 landing craft.
