Thailand and Cambodia Agree to Ceasefire

Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to a ceasefire after five days of intense clashes that resulted in the deaths of nearly 40 people and the displacement of 300,000.
The ceasefire took effect at 20:00 Cyprus time, in an effort to end the deadliest conflict between the two countries in more than 10 years.
The leaders of Cambodia and Thailand also agreed to resume direct communication and establish a mechanism for implementing the ceasefire.
