Canada: Carney calls US ties a 'weakness' to be fixed

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, in a public address, described the country's ties with the United States as a 'weakness that needs to be fixed.' He emphasized that Canada cannot control the instability coming from the US.
Carney referred to trade and military threats from the US, including tariffs and the potential revision of the US-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement. He also mentioned Donald Trump's statements regarding the annexation of Canada.
Prime Minister Carney stressed that Canada will face the threat and defend its sovereignty. He plans to regularly update citizens on the government's actions.
In his address, Carney held a toy soldier depicting General Isaac Brock, who defended Canada from an American invasion in 1812.
