Kallas to Araghchi: Safe Passage Through Hormuz is a Major Issue

The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, stressed to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that the safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz is a major issue for Europe.

According to a European official at Reuters, the EU supports a diplomatic resolution to the war. During the telephone conversation, Kallas called on Iran to stop all attacks on critical infrastructure in the Gulf region. The EU supports de-escalation and a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.
