K. Kombos: US-Cyprus Relationship Stable and Consistent

Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos stated that the US-Cyprus relationship is characterized by "stability, consistency, and continuity" following his meeting with Marco Rubio in Washington.

According to Mr. Kombos, bilateral and regional issues were discussed, including Gaza and Syria. The issue of the 3+1 format at the leaders' level and energy cooperation, given the presence of American companies in the Cypriot EEZ, were also raised.

Mr. Kombos mentioned the potential contribution of Cyprus to the Trump plan for Gaza, as well as supporting stability in Syria and protecting minorities.

Additionally, the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union and issues of concern to the US, such as investments, defense, and the protection of technology giants, were discussed.
