Italy Arrests Ukrainian National for Nord Stream Attacks

Italian authorities have arrested a Ukrainian national suspected of coordinating attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines. The German Attorney General announced that he would be transferred to Germany to face a judge.
The suspect, identified as Serhii K. according to German data protection laws, allegedly participated in a group that placed explosive devices on the pipelines near the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. According to the prosecutor's office, the arrested man coordinated an organized sabotage operation.
The prosecuting authorities report that the group departed from Rostock, in northeastern Germany, using a sailboat. The boat had been rented from a German company using forged identity documents.
