Israel Thanks Cyprus for Assistance in Hostage Release

Israel has thanked Cyprus for its assistance in the release of Elizabeth Tsurkov, a Russian-Israeli researcher who was held hostage in Iraq for two years. Cyprus played a critical role in Tsurkov's transfer to Israel following her release.
In a joint statement, the Director of Mossad expressed gratitude to his Cypriot counterpart for the humanitarian assistance provided during Tsurkov's transit through Cyprus. The statement highlighted the highly effective cooperation between the two countries.
Elizabeth Tsurkov landed in Israel last night.
