Spain Denies Military Cooperation with US on Iran

The Spanish government has denied that it will cooperate militarily with the US in a war against Iran. Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares stated that Spain will not allow American aircraft to use Spanish bases for operations against Iran.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt had expressed her belief that Spain had agreed to cooperate with the US armed forces, which was denied by Spain.

Donald Trump criticized the Sánchez government for its refusal and threatened to cut off trade relations with Spain.
