Iceland: The Most Peaceful Country in the World – Cyprus and Greece Ranking

Iceland has once again topped the list of the most peaceful countries in the world, according to the Global Peace Index by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
The top five are completed by Ireland, New Zealand, Austria, and Switzerland.
Cyprus ranks 68th, while Greece is in 45th place.
The index assesses criteria such as social safety and security, the extent of conflicts, and the degree of militarization.
Russia is at the bottom of the list, followed by Ukraine. The United States ranks 128th.
The report notes that the gap between the most and least peaceful countries has widened since 2008.
