Iran Warns of "New Phase" in War with US and Israel

A senior Iranian official warned that the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has entered a "new phase." He dismissed scenarios of an immediate end to hostilities and left open the possibility of retaliation targeting energy infrastructure.

In a message to CNNi, the official stated that there is no prospect of an immediate end to the conflict. "The war has entered a new phase, and an attack on Iran's oil and energy storage facilities will definitely be met with regional retaliation," he said.

He pointed out that Iran may target energy infrastructure in response, raising concerns about disruptions to oil and gas facilities. "Iran will not relinquish control of the Strait of Hormuz until it achieves the desired results," he added.

Finally, he stressed that Tehran will determine when the conflict ends.
