A senior Iranian official has warned that the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has entered a 'new phase.' He dismissed scenarios of an immediate end to hostilities and left open the possibility of retaliation targeting energy infrastructure in the region.

In a message to CNNi on Sunday (08/03), the official stated that there is no prospect of an immediate end to the conflict and that any attack on Iran's oil and energy depots would be met with regional retaliation.

He also pointed out that Iran may target energy infrastructure in the coming days, raising concerns about disruptions to oil and gas facilities. Finally, he stressed that Iran will not relinquish control of the Strait of Hormuz until it achieves the desired results and that Tehran will determine when the conflict ends.
