Iran-Israel: Tensions Rise Amid Readiness Preparations
Share on:

In recent days, both Israel and Iran have intensified their defense and offense preparations, amid ongoing protests in Iranian cities and reactions following Trump's statements on Iran and the US intervention in Venezuela.

Iranian analysts and officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that Israel may be preparing an attack against Iran.

Israeli state radio reported that the Revolutionary Guards forces have begun ballistic missile exercises and are coordinating air defense systems.

In Jerusalem, the limited-composition cabinet (KYSEA) met under Netanyahu to discuss developments in Iran. Simultaneously, security measures were upgraded at Ramon International Airport and Eilat.

Statements from both sides are escalating tensions. Netanyahu stated that he agreed with President Trump that "Israel and the US will never allow Iran to develop its nuclear and ballistic arsenal."

The head of the Iranian police, Ahmad-Reza Radan, said that mass arrests have begun of individuals recruited by Israeli and American intelligence services to infiltrate the protests.

Iranian media reported that the armed forces repelled a group of terrorists who tried to invade Iranian territory from the Sistan-Baluchistan province.

Israeli state television reported that Netanyahu contacted Vladimir Putin, asking him to convey to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that "Israel does not intend to attack Iran." The conversation took place "at an earlier time," without specifying when.
