US Approves $825 Million Missile Sale to Ukraine

The State Department has approved the sale of up to 3,350 RIM-174 Standard ERAM (SM-6) surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine, valued at $825 million, according to the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
US law regarding major arms sales requires notification of Congress, which has been done.
The purchase will be supported by funding from the US, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway.
The announcement follows a Russian strike involving missiles and drones against Ukrainian targets.
The sale will support US foreign policy and national security objectives by improving the security of a partner nation in Europe.
