US Revokes Visas of 6,000+ Students Amid Protests and Violations

The United States has revoked the visas of over 6,000 foreign students, according to a US diplomatic official. This decision follows stricter rules implemented by the Donald Trump administration, aimed at combating illegal immigration and anti-Semitism.
According to the State Department, the main reasons for the visa revocations were "overstaying the authorized period of stay" and "violations of the law." Many of the affected students had participated in protests against the war in Gaza.
The official stated that the majority of the students were accused of "assaults," "drunk driving," "thefts," and "supporting terrorism." Approximately 4,000 of the 6,000 visas were revoked due to legal violations.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio had announced in March that he was revoking the visas of students protesting the issue daily, stating "every time I find one of these crazies, I'm going to take their visa away."
Through an executive order, Donald Trump had demanded increased controls to prevent the entry of individuals with a "hostile" attitude towards the US.
