US: 14 Dead in Strikes on Drug-Running Vessels in Pacific Ordered by Trump

The United States, under the direction of President Donald Trump, carried out three strikes against four vessels in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, resulting in the deaths of 14 people. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the deceased as "narco-terrorists."
According to a post by Pete Hegseth on "X" on October 28, 2025, the attacks took place on October 27. The Secretary of Defense stated that the attacks occurred in international waters and that Mexican authorities took over the search and rescue operation for the one survivor.
Hegseth stated that the "narco-terrorists" have killed more Americans than Al Qaeda and will be treated in the same way. "We will identify them, link them to a network, and then hunt them down and kill them," he emphasized.
His post also mentioned that the vessels were known to US intelligence and were being used for drug trafficking.
