Ankara to Host 2026 NATO Summit

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that Turkey will host the next alliance Summit on July 7-8, 2026, in Ankara.
The Summit will be hosted at the Presidential Complex Bestepe (Kulliye).
Rutte thanked Turkey for hosting this “important summit,” noting that “at our next summit, leaders will continue to build a stronger and fairer alliance” ready “to meet the critical challenges of our security.”
This year's Summit was hosted in The Hague, Netherlands, where NATO members pledged to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035. Turkey also hosted the NATO Summit in 2004 in Istanbul.
