The Global Sumud Flotilla has set sail again for Gaza, carrying activists and humanitarian aid. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has expressed concerns about the safety of the mission, suggesting an alternative route via Cyprus.

According to organizers, Greek vessels have joined the flotilla, which consists of approximately 47 ships. Activists from many countries are participating in the mission, including Greta Thunberg.

Antonio Tajani proposed that the aid be transferred to Cyprus and distributed to Gaza by the Roman Catholic Church, a proposal rejected by the flotilla. Tajani warned of the dangers of approaching Israeli waters and potentially violating the blockade.

According to Reuters, the convoy was attacked on Wednesday in international waters off Crete. Italy and Spain have deployed warships to the area to provide assistance.
