German Eurofighters to be Stationed at Poland Base

Five German Eurofighter jets will be stationed at an airbase near Warsaw for a few weeks, according to the German News Agency.
The aircraft will be based at Minsk Mazowiecki, east of Warsaw, where approximately 150 German soldiers are also located. The mission will last less than a month, according to a German Air Force representative.
Poland, a key supporter of Ukraine, is strengthening its armed forces amid concerns about a potential threat from Moscow.
Since April, the German Air Force has been supporting Poland in reconnaissance operations. The Eurofighter mission was initiated at the request of Warsaw.
The German fighters will enhance "the protection of the airspace on NATO's eastern flank," according to the Polish armed forces leadership.
