French Justice: Serious Charges Against Elon Musk

Experts from the French National Cybersecurity Unit suspect that Musk manipulated the algorithm of the social media platform X for illegal use of personal data, influencing public discourse, and other offenses. The company, based in Dublin, refused to provide the algorithm.

The US Department of Justice has refused to assist French prosecutors, calling the investigation "politically motivated." Musk has called the judges "mentally retarded." Analysts compare the case to the confrontation with Pavel Durov of Telegram and do not rule out American sanctions against the French judges.
