European leaders have expressed serious doubts about Donald Trump's 'Peace Council' during discussions. Several member states raised concerns about the Council's legal framework.

The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, emphasized that the European Union has 'serious doubts' about the Council, particularly regarding its compatibility with the United Nations. The doubts concern the scope of action, governance, and compatibility with the UN charter.

Despite the reservations, European leaders are ready to cooperate with the United States to implement a comprehensive peace plan for Gaza, with a peace council operating as a transitional administration.
