Edi Rama: The Origin of the Albanian Prime Minister

A discussion has arisen regarding the origin of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. A publication refers to a post by Dr. Stavros Ntayo, who is knowledgeable about Greek-Albanian issues, regarding his origin.
According to Dr. Ntayo's post, Edi Rama's mother comes from Vuno in Himara and bears the surname Koleka. Her uncle was Spiro Thoma Koleka (1908-2001), a politician who held high positions in the Albanian government. Spiro Gkogku (Giorgou) Koleka (1880-1940), vice president of the first Albanian Senate, also belongs to the same family.
Edi Rama's father, Kristakis Rama (1932-1998), was a sculptor and member of parliament. Edi Rama himself has stated that his origin is from Roman Catholic Mirdita.
Vuno is a village in Albania in the Municipality of Himara. According to a 1914 census, it had 950 inhabitants, all Greeks.
Rama's mother, Aneta Rama-Koleka (1938-2020), was a dentist. His uncle, Spiro Thoma Koleka (1908-2001), held high positions in Enver Hoxha's government. An ancestor of Rama, Spiro Jorgo (Gogo) Koleka (1879/1880-1940), served as Minister of Public Works and was described as friendly to the Greeks of Himara.
