Peace Council Inaugurated in Washington

The "Peace Council," a new institution created by United States President Donald Trump, is inaugurated today in Washington.
The Peace Council's initial goal is progress in Gaza, but Donald Trump aspires to expand it globally.
The first meeting is expected to be attended by 24 leaders and senior officials. Donald Trump is expected to announce funding commitments exceeding $5 billion for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. The creation of an International Stabilization Force for security in the region is also under consideration.
The Republic of Cyprus, headed by Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, will participate in the meeting with observer status.
