Armenia and Azerbaijan have published the text of a peace agreement reached with US mediation, aimed at ending a nearly four-decade-long conflict.

The agreement was reached in Washington, during a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with Donald Trump.

The text of the agreement, consisting of 9 points, states that Yerevan and Baku will waive claims to each other's territory, refrain from the use of force, and respect international law. Furthermore, diplomatic relations will be established.

Pashinyan stated that the agreement constitutes a stable basis for lasting peace.
