Two top officials in the Trump administration are questioning the narrative of a nuclear threat from Iran, causing controversy.

Joe Kent, the resigned director of the National Counterterrorism Center, and Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, have expressed doubts about the immediacy of the risk of Iran developing nuclear weapons.

Joe Kent stated that he cannot support the Trump administration's war in Iran, citing doubts about the justification for military strikes.

Tulsi Gabbard, testifying before Congress, stated that Iran's nuclear enrichment program was eliminated after "Operation Midnight Hammer" and that there have been no attempts to rebuild it.

Democrats criticized Gabbard, arguing that she did not prove that Iran poses a threat.

The war in Iran has divided the base of the MAGA movement, while questioning Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons exposes President Trump ahead of the midterm elections.
