Countries Shield Against Fuel Price Rally

Governments of various countries are taking measures to address the rapid increase in fuel and product prices due to the war in the Middle East.
The Spanish Minister of Economy announced that he is preparing fiscal measures concerning electricity and fuel prices, aimed at limiting the impact of the conflicts. Special assistance will be provided to the agriculture and transport sectors.
A series of temporary measures to limit fuel prices were also announced by the President of Brazil, including the zeroing of the federal tax on diesel and the intensification of controls to prevent abusive increases in fuel prices at the pump by distributors.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stated that a cap is being applied to the profit margin on fuel, products, and essential goods, with a three-month horizon.
