Saudi Aramco Warns of Consequences from Strait of Hormuz Shipping

Saudi Aramco warned on Tuesday of devastating consequences for global oil markets if shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted. The company also announced a 12.1% decrease in its net profit for 2025.
Aramco CEO, Amin Nasser, stated that the disruption in the Strait of Hormuz would lead to a faster decline in global oil reserves. The company highlighted the dramatic consequences in sectors such as insurance, aviation, agriculture, and the automotive industry.
Saudi Aramco's net income for 2025 amounted to $93.38 billion, down from $106.24 billion in 2024. Additionally, the company faces challenges from Iranian attacks on energy facilities, such as the Ras Tanura refinery.
