Trump Postpones Tariff Increase on Imported Furniture

U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed the increase in customs duties on certain imported furniture by one year, just hours before the measure was due to take effect.
The additional duties, ranging from 30% to 50%, have been postponed to January 1, 2027.
According to a statement from the White House, the postponement is due to ongoing productive negotiations regarding imports of wood products, allowing for further talks with other countries.
Executives in the American market have expressed concern, as the country relies heavily on imports from China, Mexico, and Vietnam.
