An investigation took place at the Arab World Institute (IMA) in Paris, regarding a case of "money laundering from aggravated tax fraud" involving Jacques Lang and Caroline Lang.

The investigation was initiated following the release of documents by the U.S. Department of Justice related to Jeffrey Epstein. Jacques Lang, former Minister of Culture, resigned from the presidency of the Institute after revelations about the creation of an offshore company by Caroline Lang in collaboration with Epstein.

In an interview, Jacques Lang declared himself "as white as snow" and stated that Epstein proposed the creation of a fund for new artists.
