Fires Under Control in Troizina, Messinia, and Preveza

All fire fronts that broke out in Troizina, Messinia, and Preveza have been brought under control, following a major mobilization of the Fire Service and Civil Protection.

In Messinia, the fire in Meligalas was the most dangerous, reaching close to homes and businesses in Anthousa. 112 was activated to evacuate residents from the Spartakos and VI.PE Meligalas areas.

In Troizina, the fire in a forest area approached the first houses of the village, which were evacuated. The wind pushed the fire towards the mountain, limiting the damage.

In Preveza, the fires in the municipalities of Preveza and Parga were brought under control, specifically between Vrachos and Loutsa. 64 firefighters with 22 vehicles operated, while nine aircraft and two helicopters assisted from the air.
