Halit Yukay: Turkish Businessman Drowned En Route to Mykonos

The death of Turkish businessman Halit Yukay has caused grief. His body was found after 19 days of searching, at a depth of 68 meters.
The 43-year-old businessman set sail on August 4 with his boat "Graywolf" bound for Mykonos. The boat was found half-submerged off Artaki, in the Sea of Marmara.
According to CNN Turk, Yukay was planning to pick up his family from Bozcaada before their vacation in Greece.
The Marmara Prosecutor's Office is investigating the causes of the accident. The captain of the ship "Arel 7" was arrested for "causing death by negligence" as he allegedly rammed Yukay's yacht.
Halit Yukay was born in Istanbul in 1982 and was the creator of Mazu Yachts, known for its carbon fiber yachts. He was distinguished at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards 2024 with his yacht Waterlily.
Yukay was married to a Greek woman, who works at his company, and they had a child.
On August 4, Yukay's relatives reported his disappearance. On August 5, a merchant ship reported parts of his boat on the surface of the sea. After searches, divers located his body.
