A new BBC Panorama investigation raises serious questions about the conviction of Omar Benguit for the 2002 murder of Jong-Ok Shin in Bournemouth. Benguit has served 23 years in prison.

The investigation alleges that police may have tampered with evidence and that prosecution witnesses gave false testimony. Thirteen witnesses reported being pressured to 'enrich' their statements. Two witnesses admitted to giving false testimony.

Security camera footage shows a man resembling Benguit using a phone booth shortly after the murder, supporting a possible alibi. Also, 135 CCTV tapes from the original investigation are missing.

A former officer called the conviction 'unsafe'. The case is being reviewed by the Criminal Cases Review Commission. Benguit denies his guilt.
