Brazil: Helicopter Crashes Shortly After Takeoff – Family Survives

A Robinson R44 helicopter crashed in Brazil shortly after takeoff, resulting in minor injuries to all four occupants, including a 9-year-old child. The incident occurred near the city of Campina Grande.
According to eyewitnesses, the helicopter's engine stopped working shortly after takeoff, causing it to fall abruptly. Despite the severity of the impact, all occupants managed to escape the wreckage alive.
The pilot, Josevan Rodrigues Ferreira, was arrested as he did not have a pilot's license and his medical certificate had expired. He was released but faces charges of endangering aviation safety.
The same helicopter was involved in an accident in July 2013. Brazilian aviation authorities are investigating the incident.
