Improved Weather This Weekend, Watch Out for Strong Meltemia

Generally clear weather is expected this weekend, September 13-14, with high temperatures for the season. However, strong Meltemia winds will blow in the Aegean Sea. According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), local rains and storms are expected mainly in the mainland, Evia, and the Sporades from Monday, September 15. The weather will remain clear in Attica and Thessaloniki.

Meteorologist Panagiotis Giannopoulos mentioned that the temperature will reach 34 to 35 degrees Celsius in the mainland. George Tsatrafyllias noted that no severe weather is expected, but a "autumnal twitch" on Monday.

On Saturday, the weather will be clear with few clouds in the mainland, where local showers are possible in the mountains. On Sunday, more clouds are expected in western Greece, Macedonia, and possibly Thessaly, with a chance of rain and thunderstorms.
