Tsipras: Progressive forces must resist the rise of the far right

Speaking at the national conference of the Italian left-wing organization Compagno e il Mondo, Alexis Tsipras stressed the need for progressive forces to resist the rise of the far right and neoliberal policies.

Tsipras emphasized that neoliberal policies in Europe are widening social and economic inequalities. He also stressed the importance of promoting a vision for a better and socially just European Union, where the interests of citizens are not overlooked.

The conference was attended by, among others, former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema, former Minister of Development Pierluigi Bersani, and former Minister of Health Roberto Speranza.

Alexis Tsipras stated: "We, the progressive forces, must resist and bring hope against fear and dignity against barbaric neoliberal policies."
