Tragedy in Italy: Two Dead in Avalanche

Two people have died and three were seriously injured in an avalanche in Val Ridanna, Italy.

Reports indicate that 25 people from various hiking groups were in the area at the time of the avalanche. Six helicopters and approximately 80 rescuers participated in the rescue operation. One person is missing.

The accident occurred just days after the tenth anniversary of the Monte Nevoso avalanche, where six people lost their lives.
