Élysée Palace Silverware Custodian Indicted for Theft

The silverware custodian of the presidential palace of France and two other men are accused of stealing porcelain and other valuable items from the Élysée Palace.
The Élysée Palace reported the disappearance of silverware and tableware worth between 15,000 and 40,000 euros. Prosecutors arrested custodian Thomas M., his partner Damien Z., and Guilain M.
Approximately 100 items were found in Thomas M.'s personal locker and home, including Sèvres porcelain and Baccarat champagne glasses. A plate with the emblem of the armed forces and ashtrays were found on his Vinted account.
Le Parisien newspaper reported that Guilain M. worked at the Louvre museum. The trial is scheduled for February.
