In northeastern Sweden, many roads have flooded and trains have been blocked due to heavy rainfall, according to the transport authority.

Traffic on roads and railways in the Västernorrland region has been significantly affected. Drivers are urged to avoid traveling in the municipalities of Kramfors, Sollefteå, Örnsköldsvik, and Härnösand.

Train services between Örnsköldsvik and Härnösand have been suspended since morning. Rescue services have responded to various incidents, including the derailment of a freight train. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

A local resident, Ove Lindberg, stated that the lake level rose by half a meter since the previous night. Leif Wikström, an official with the service, described the situation as roads dissolving.
