Caretaker on Trial for Stealing Silverware from French Presidential Palace

A caretaker at the French presidential palace and two other men will stand trial for stealing silverware and other valuable items. The Élysée Palace reported the disappearance of items worth between 15,000 and 40,000 euros.
Prosecutors arrested caretaker Thomas M. and his partner Damien Z. as suspects. A third man, Ghislain M., was arrested for receiving stolen goods. Approximately 100 items, including Sèvres porcelain and Baccarat champagne glasses, were found in Thomas M.'s possession.
Ghislain M. worked as a guard at the Louvre Museum. The trial is scheduled for February.
