Russian Attack on Kyiv: Government Headquarters Hit

A Russian night attack struck Kyiv, causing damage to the headquarters of the Ukrainian government. This is the first time this specific building has been targeted. According to reports, at least five people were killed across the country by the Russian strikes.
The attack involved more than 800 drones and missiles. A journalist from the French Agency reported seeing the roof of the cabinet building on fire.
Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko stated that the roof and top floors of the building were damaged. Emergency services managed to extinguish the fire.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 810 drones and 13 missiles, with Ukrainian air defenses intercepting 747 drones and 4 missiles. This was the largest aerial attack since the start of the war.
In addition to Kyiv, other areas were hit, resulting in a total of five deaths and more than 20 injuries. In the capital, a woman and her two-month-old son were killed.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent stated that Washington is ready to increase pressure on Moscow, while French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky about the next steps.
