Russia: Explosion on Oil Pipeline Supplying Moscow

A powerful explosion occurred on an oil pipeline near the city of Ryazan, Russia, which supplies Moscow. According to a Ukrainian source, fuel supplies to the Russian capital have been suspended.
The explosion took place near the village of Bozatkovo, on the outskirts of Ryazan. Local media reported a large fire following the explosion. Firefighters and repair crews rushed to the scene.
A source in the Ukrainian intelligence services told the Kyiv Independent newspaper that the pipeline is a critical supply route for fuel to Moscow and also supplies the Russian armed forces.
Ukrainian forces have repeatedly targeted Russian energy infrastructure during the war. The aim is to undermine Moscow's revenues from oil and natural gas.
Russian authorities have not issued an official statement. The extent of the damage and the recovery time remain unclear.
