Fire at Luxury Hotel in the French Alps, Courchevel

A fire broke out at a luxury five-star hotel in the ski resort of Courchevel in the French Alps on Tuesday evening. The fire started in the attic of the Hotel des Grandes Alpes and spread to a neighboring building.
According to an announcement by the Savoie prefecture, the fire started around 7 p.m. (local time). Approximately 100 people were initially evacuated, but the number increased to 270 as the fire spread. Staff and residents were transferred to other hotels.
Local authorities reported that the evacuation took place calmly and no injuries have been reported so far.
