Polish F-16 Hits House: Responsibilities and Reactions

A Polish F-16 allegedly caused damage to a house in Poland during an operation to intercept Russian drones. The incident has sparked reactions and mutual accusations between Poland and Russia.
Initially, Poland accused Russian drones of violating its airspace and requested consultations under Article 4 of NATO. Russia denied any responsibility. Subsequently, Polish media reported that a missile from a Polish F-16 malfunctioned and caused damage to a house.
The Minister and Coordinator for Special Services of Poland, Tomasz Siemoniak, stated that Russia is still responsible for the incident. Prime Minister Donald Tusk reiterated this view, emphasizing that the responsibility lies with the perpetrators of the drone provocation, namely Russia.
Western analysts question the version of a deliberate attack by Russia, arguing that such an action would not make sense. American political scientist John Mearsheimer argues that the drones may have gone off course or been jammed.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Poland cannot protect its population and offered assistance.
