Very High Fire Risk on Saturday: Areas on Alert

A very high fire risk (category 4) is forecast for tomorrow, Saturday, August 16, in many areas of Greece. According to the Fire Risk Forecast Map of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, the areas on alert are:

Attica, Viotia, Fokida, Aitoloakarnania, Evia, Argolida, Corinthia, Evros, Rodopi, Xanthi, Kavala, Halkidiki & Mount Athos, Rhodes, Karpathos, Kasos, Thasos, Samothrace, Sporades, Skyros, Lemnos, Lesvos, Heraklion, Lassithi, areas of Fthiotida and Achaia.

Also, there is a high risk (category 3) in the rest of the island country and in several areas of mainland Greece.
