Ukraine: Soldier Survives Five Days with Cut Throat

A 33-year-old Ukrainian soldier named Vladislav survived for five days with a cut throat after Russian soldiers left him in a pit, presuming him dead.
According to Suspilne, Vladislav managed to climb out of the pit and crawled to Ukrainian lines near Dnipropetrovsk. He was found on August 17 and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Medical staff reported that Vladislav had lost a lot of blood, and his wounds were infected. Serhii Ryzhenko, the hospital director, stated that the chances of survival in such cases are minimal.
Vladislav recorded his story in a diary, where he described horrific acts of violence against Ukrainian prisoners. His unit had lost a position near Pokrovsk, and he was captured while trying to help his comrades.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office has recorded at least 273 cases of Ukrainian prisoners of war executed by Russian forces, violating the Geneva Conventions.
