Thousands of students and citizens gathered in Novi Sad, Serbia, one year after the train station accident that killed 16 people. The gathering took place at 11:52 AM on November 1st, at the site of the accident.

The protesters, who started marching from Belgrade and other cities, are demanding accountability for the accident and the resignation of the government of Aleksandar Vučić. The student mobilizations are the largest in Serbia in recent years.

Protesters denounced the government's crackdown and attempts to attribute the accident to a terrorist act, rather than poor workmanship and corruption. The European Union is expected to criticize Serbia for this situation in its annual report.
